Account Deletion
Request to delete your GuardianLive account and data
You can delete your account in two ways:
- Directly in the app (recommended)
- By contacting us via email
Method 1: Delete Account In-App
This is the fastest and recommended method to delete your account.
- Open the GuardianLive app
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap Settings
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Step 1: Enter your password and tap "Verify Password"
- Step 2: Type "CONFIRM" in the text field
- Tap Delete My Account Forever
- Confirm the final warning dialog
- Your account will be permanently deleted
Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Profile Information: Name, email, phone number, username
- Profile Picture: Any uploaded photos
- Emergency Contacts: All saved emergency contacts
- Location History: All stored location data
- App Settings: All preferences and configurations
- Emergency Timer History: Records of past countdowns and alerts
- Account Authentication: Login credentials
Data Retention Period
After you request account deletion:
- Immediate: Your account will be deactivated immediately and you'll be logged out
- Within 30 days: All your personal data will be permanently deleted from our servers
- Exception: Some anonymized data may be retained for legal or security purposes as required by law
Method 2: Email Deletion Request
If you're unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, please contact us:

Email: support@guardianlive.app
Please include in your email:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your registered email address
- Your username (if you remember it)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
We will process your deletion request within 3-5 business days and send you a confirmation email once completed.
Before You Delete
Consider these alternatives:
- Temporary pause: You can simply log out and stop using the app without deleting
- Cancel subscription: Cancel your subscription but keep your account
- Contact support: If you're having issues, we may be able to help
After Deletion
After your account is deleted:
- You will no longer receive any notifications from GuardianLive
- Your emergency contacts will no longer see you in their contacts list
- You can create a new account anytime with the same email address
- Previous subscriptions will be canceled (contact your app store for refunds)
